15th Annual Prime Rib and Crab Fest Update-Crab dinners SOLD OUT

Community members are invited Wood County Special Olympics’ 15^th Annual Prime Rib and Crab Fest on Saturday, November 3. The event will take place from 6-9 p.m., in Perrysburg at Graystone Hall  (29101 Hufford Road).

Get Zombiefied to help benefit charity!  Real Ink will have Zombie cards for sale at the BG Farmers’ Market this Wednesday, from 4 to 7 pm.  This will conclude the outdoor venue for the year – be sure to visit us at the Winter Market, Nov 10 & 11 at the Wood County Library.

Special Olympics Receives Donation

We are thrilled to announce that Wood County Special Olympics has been awarded $28,961 from Walgreen’s Distribution Center in Perrysburg.  Walgreen’s selected both Wood and Lucas County Special Olympics to share their Charity of Choice for 2012.  Every year the Walgreen’s Distribution Center employees select an area organization that provides services to individuals with disabilities. This monetary donation will be used to complete the purchase of much needed uniforms for every sport team and to purchase some new sports equipment. Our special thanks to the employees of Walgreen’s Distribution Center for selecting Wood County Special Olympics for their 2012 Charity of Choice. We are very appreciative of their kindness and support.  Our athletes will be looking grand in their bright new uniforms.

In-Person Early Voting is underway in Ohio. Make sure you are registered to vote! The deadline to register to vote is Tuesday, October 9 at 9:00 p.m. Wood County voters can go to the Wood County Board of Elections at the County Courthouse (One Courthouse Square in Bowling Green)
