Wood Lane School holds graduation ceremonies for two students.

Robin Zipperer and Joseph “Joey” Symington achieved an important milestone in their lives on May 24 as they graduated from Wood Lane School.  Zipperer is the daughter of Bob and Jane Zipperer and Joey is the son of Teri Symington.  This year’s commencement speaker was Wood Lane employment services coordinator Vic Gable.  Members of Northwood High School band were in attendance to provide special music for the ceremony.

Both students were recognized by Wood Lane Superintendent Melanie Stretchbery, Board President Joe Catalano, and Director of Children’s Services Lorraine Flick.  BG School Superintendent Dr. Ann McVey presented Ms. Zipperer with her diploma while Northwood Schools Superintendent Greg Clark presented Mr. Symington with his diploma.

Both students are already actively participating in services provided by Wood Lane Adult Services.  In addition, Ms. Zipperer lives in a group home operated by Wood Lane Residential Services, Inc.
